- Priority bucking: by determining the length and diameters needed, bucking is programmed to you desired results
- Capable of multiple “logging contracts”
- Easy to program for specific bucking criteria (i.e. bark thickness, volume, etc.)
- Change your bucking criteria on the fly

What makes the Pierce GP ProSeries unique from traditional processing heads? See below to find out.
The GP’s purpose-built design is intended to grapple and load just like a forestry grapple, and also process every bit as well as a conventional processing head.
The arm shape and opening dimension mimics our trusted TC52 arm geometry for optimum and efficient loading, sorting and reaching into log decks.
Conversely, conventional heads are limited to open only as far as it needs to for processing…
nothing more.
See the difference below.
The GP’s purpose-built design is intended to grapple and load just like a forestry grapple, and also process every bit as well as a conventional processing head.
Recently, some conventional head manufacturers have attempted their own version of a grapple processor. Rather than a properly intended design like the GP, they clearly wanted to avoid a major development project, and so they simply tweaked a couple features and called it their own version of a ‘grapple processor’. However, one critical thing they failed to consider is removing frame interference. Their short-cut strategy has exposed a significantly flawed design.
Conversely, the GP’s frame is intentionally designed to eliminate frame interference –allowing for both optimized grappling and optimized processing.

A conventional head’s drive wheels can never get out of the way of the work zone. Subsequently, the wheels are always a major source of interference.
Conversely, the GP’s wheels pivot out of the way when grappling. This allows you to sort, stack and load just like a grapple, without interference. Have trouble reaching into log decks? Not with the GP.

Unlike other processing heads who manufacture their products internationally in countries like Brazil, Sweden, New Zealand, etc., Pierce is right here in the US. The Pierce GP is 100% designed and built right here in Portland, OR.
Want to visit with our GP Team? We welcome you anytime! Other brands aren’t nearly as available for you as we are.

Pierce has renewed our product support commitment by increasing inventory stocking levels of genuine Pierce parts – assuring you swift delivery of what you need, when you need it.
Furthermore, we are adding new field technicians in your region to keep your operation on track and on schedule.

360º continuous rotation is standard on every GP ProSeries providing you maximum operational versatility…at no extra charge. Conversely, 360º rotation on other processing heads is an added upcharge, if it is available at all.
And without a traditional hanging bracket, the GP hangs like a traditional grapple, keeping the heel rack a useful device. Conversely, traditional processors (with hanging brackets) hang too low, making the heal rack geometrically ineffective and consequently dead weight.

The GP ProSeries offers a completely new state-of-the-art control system that includes improved hardware and cable connections throughout the system, and the latest measuring software technology. The complete bucking system handles measurement, control, monitoring and management of the entire production process, all controlled by a user-friendly and efficient, color touch screen. All settings and other system functions are accessed via the main menu with intuitive navigation.

Never replace your boom cable ever again!
Wireless communication between the operator and the GP eliminates the communication cable, which is susceptible to damage – even in normal operation.
